Any comments on this drives value..I've seen a lot of "it broke after 3 months" sorta reviews. I guess these seem to be getting cheaper by the day so if I miss this deal there will be on next week.

240GB SSD for $99 AR, how is this FP worthy? I have seen plenty below $80...

Because Intel SSDs have earned the loyalty of most people that have used them, so comparing to most other brands doesn't matter much.

I bought one of these a few years ago. It is a solid drive.
I'm waiting for the new "3d" drives to keep driving prices down as well.

Why not buy the 530 if you're doing the rebate anyways. It's only $5 more AR.

Agreed. Get the the newer 530 drive (although the 530 is slightly slower on paper).

This is a great deal. Intel has a 5 yr warranty on these drives compared with many other drives which only have 3 yr.

Seems the majority of such reviews come from users of Mac or non-Intel chipset.

And you never can tell about power issues... dirty, spikey power, or what? You sometimes hear about someone having "lots of drive/PSU failures", while most of us have no problems in those area. Always makes me think the municipal power has a lot to do with that, and such people should be running on UPS.

I've had 2, 520s running for about 2 years (on Dell Precision workstations) with zero issues.

It's just that the 530 is 7mm and has less power consumption which is important for laptop. And the 530 deal comes with bracket and sata cable for desktop.
