I was at Costco yesterday and saw the moon caķes price $5.88 was $12.88 - Happy August Moon. Sorry if it's a repost.

where's your Costco? I don't think I've ever seen moon cakes at mine but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

I've never seen these outside of a SF Bay Area Costco. There it's a special seasonal display.

I'm not a fan but not all moon cakes are equal in quality and taste.

As far as I know Marlboro NJ, Staten Island NY and Dedham MA Costco sells the moon cakes.

Completely true. I've gotten moon cakes from Costco before. They were OK but nothing to write home about. They are cheap though. One decent one at a good bakery will cost $5.

I normally don't eat the yolks since they're dry and salty but this year's yolks taste moist and not too salty.
