- If you want to put the $200 trade credit toward your iPhone 6/6+ pre-order, it would be a "deferred trade" where you mail it in. I didn't want to do that. I'll just wait till the iPhone 6 is available in-store
- If you buy a phone that's less than $200, the difference gets added to your account as bill credit or toward your EIP
- You MUST be buying a phone in-store at the same time as your trade to get the $200
- iPhone trade must be in good working and physical condition
- You do not need to give them any accessories, you just need to trade in the iPhone itself
- The phone must have iCloud/Find My iPhone turned off

Trade value will show $200 WITHOUT any competitor price matching, if you are buying a phone at the same time (in a retail store) or if you buy it online you can fill out the trade in form afterward with your order number to get the $200 quote. You cannot just trade it in for a flat $200 bill credit without buying a phone.

Superoceanhere breaking down the price of this deal for potential Iphone4 traders.

There's a really big important item to consider if you are thinking of doing the trade in a phone at Tmobile.

Tmobile may give you $250 for Iphone 4. Verizon/ATT will give you $200 for Iphone 4. But the cost of the phone at Tmobile for Iphone 6 is a full face value of $650 vs ATT/Verizon's 2yr agreement subsidized price of $200.

So the best deal for everyone is take your Iphone 4 into V/ATT and sign a 2 yr contract to get the Iphone6 for free or 6+ for $99. Sign a contract and after 1 month jump ship to Tmobile using the uncarrier promo where they will pay for your ETF from V/ATT.

That way after 2 months, you'll have Iphone6 or 6+ for free or $99 after Iphone4 trade in.

If you went to Tmobile, your Iphone 4 trade for Iphone 6 = $400 and Iphone6+ = 500.

If you would like to use above method, but be carefully that

At ATT, you must pay for 36 activation fee + 1 month fee (50) ~= 86
@tmobile: you must purchase a device from Tmobile (around 110 plus tax, it is hard to find a phone less than 100. you can search the tmobile trade in for detail) and trade in a old device (a junk phone) to qualify the reimbursement. It will takes about 2 months to get the money back. It is definitely not free or 99 for iphone 6 while you are doing a switch trick.

The summer promotion where the L90 was involved works, even though the order was in the past.

I can confirm that the summer promotion order number will work.

Attached is a screen shot of my iPhone 4 trade in estimates, AFTER using a valid order number. You either need to buy a phone first, or have already ordered a phone recently, and plug in that order number to see the $200 promo trade in. Otherwise you'll see something like $40-50. The only thing I blurred out was the serial number for each phone.
Call in to get your shipping fee waived. After order is placed.

Shipping was 6.99 for standard ground. and 14 for 2-3 days.

I went in-store last night and turned my iPhones in. Came up at $200 trade-in value, very easy, my gf and I were the first people to do this trade in. They have a scope to check the moisture indicators in the charging port AND the headphone jack, just FYI. And if I were them, I would check the phones thoroughly since it would fall on that store/rep if they accepted a phone that was not actually eligible for trade-in. I think the manager has to "OK" the trade anyway, but it was the manager helping us so her inspection was the only one done.

I'm sure this will get asked, so:
- If you want to put the $200 trade credit toward your iPhone 6/6+ pre-order, it would be a "deferred trade" where you mail it in. I didn't want to do that. I'll just wait till the iPhone 6 is available in-store

- You MUST be buying a phone in-store at the same time as your trade to get the $200
- iPhone trade must be in good working and physical condition
- You do not need to give them any accessories, you just need to trade in the iPhone itself
- The phone must have iCloud/Find My iPhone turned off

This is the part where SD comes in...

To make good on this guarantee, T-Mobile will track the market every day to ensure we keep our promise. If a customer can find a better trade-in offer from a major national carrier, T-Mobile will beat that offer, give them the difference back and because we value this help from our customer we will top it off with another $50!
Time to start scouring the other carrier's TIVs on phones and see if they have insanely high values on certain ones.

For example, a while back Virgin Mobile was selling the old HTC One Vs for $50 brand new. Verizon was giving a $100 trade-in credit. If we could find a similar deal like this and get T-Mobile to match, we could easily triple the value return on phones.

I highly doubt you can profit from this, at best tmobile would give you tmobile gift cards for the traded phone, you'd most likely be limited to 1 trade in per customer

I wish T-Mobile would bring back the infamous $200 Blackberry trade-in offer.

[Hot Deals memory lane]
Buy Blackberry for $20 on Craigslist.org
Trade in for $200 credit at T-Mobile
...
profit?
[/Hot Deals memory lane]

My only regret is I only took advantage of the deal twice, should have done it waaaay more.

Gotta love T-Mobile, Verizon and ATT keep getting outclassed.

What I'm interested in then is if t mobile will do both the trade-in match (200 dollars) + pay ETF fees ? Do I have to bring over the entire group or will they do it just for me if I switch out?

So the trade-in credit is used to buy the phone 6 or it's used as bill credit like Verizon?
