I currently have an ADT system and looking for a less expensive service. Do you have any recommendations? My current system has ADT on 3 doors and 2 motion sensors.

You mean for monitoring? We've used NextAlarm for a few years now and have had a very positive experience. A lot of folks here at SD's recommend SimpliSafe.

Can NextAlarm & SimpliSafe monitor the current ADT equipment or will I need to install a new system? I am looking for cheaper monthly cost and will install new equipment if needed.

Thanks!

Huge SimpliSafe fan here. Super easy self-install kit (you'll need to use their equipment), super cheap monthly costs ($14.99), outstanding customer service, and no contract (NEVER sign a contract with a home monitoring company).

I am a big fan on DIY'ing honeywell Lynx 5100 and monitoring from alarmrelay. very happy with them for last year and no contract!

paying 13.95 for monitoring over wifi and it is 8.95 over landline.

Just remember dealpick, your home is far more likely to suffer a fire than it is a break-in, so make sure that any home monitoring you get includes equipment and monitoring for smoke and fire.

The ADT is an Ademco alarm. Any major alarm company can monitor it. If ADT locked the console, the worst case is the new company might have to replace the motherboard with their own, not a big deal they would do it for free. All the sensors would work. Problem is, most of them charge the same amount which is WAY too much for what you get.
