I don't think they tax the Puffs.
At least here in northern NJ they don't
I wasted 99 cents not realizing it.

Jersey doesn't charge sales tax on facial tissue or toilet paper. Lucky you.

$5 ECB wys $15 on these items Limit 1
Halloween candy Singles 0.8- 4 ox, Mars Chocolate, Air Heads, Starburst, Skittles, Necco wafers 1.08-2.17 oz, Nestle or Hershey’s Singles 0.77-2.1 oz. BOGO $.25

looking at online version of the ad, it looks like non-Halloween single Hershey bars are part of this
There are tearpad Heshey Single Qs $1/3 and $1/4-found mine at Safeway and CVS

If single candy bars are still 1.19ea or 2/$2, then 24 bars would be $15
- 8 x $1/3 Qs
pay $7 get 5UPs, comes to about .08 ea

Not sure if there are any CRTs to sweeten this. Don't get them on this card, another one got H-ween candy CRT but it's for bags

There are also BOGO tearpad Hershey Qs, found a few @ CVS awhile ago, but not sure if my stores would give me .25 for the GO so I'm holding on to those

2 points of speculation in this scenario- whether reg. candy bars qualify and the current price/multiple pricing.. Any input appreciated

It looks like the regular candy bars do count. I've gotten a few with the bogo coupons (lol @ GO!), and I've always had them put in at $1.19 or $1.25 depending on the coupon and where I bought them.

I recently got a $2/10 Halloween candy CRT. I dont believe it specified bags. It might not scan for the single bars but it should certainly be within reasonable store discretion to accept the coupon for singles. I doubt I will do this scenario since I have all the candy I need already for Halloween but I would feel comfortable asking that CRT be used on these.

As far as the BOGO goes, you should always get the higher priced item as the *GO* or FREE, provided the FREE isnt for a specific item and that item is lower priced (the buy Simple cleanser, get wipes FREE comes to mind). The reasoning is this: the coupon policy explicitly states that for a BOGO sale/ coupon combo you pay nothing and get both items free. This is the most extreme possible case they can outline, it simply doesnt make sense that in any lesser case CVS wants you to get the less expensive item for free. If this explanation doesnt make sense to your cashier or manager, CS should back you up on this point. It is very straightforward but does require a small leap so some people may need help "getting it". FWIW I have never had any cashier even try to enter the lower value as the FREE, even at my most couponer-hating stores.

...FWIW I have never had any cashier even try to enter the lower value as the FREE, even at my most couponer-hating stores.
You're very lucky with that. I live in a rural area with only 2 CVS and 2 RA stores within reasonable distance. Both stores insist that my coupon is only worth the lower price when the store deal is b1g1 for x. I have a number of the B1G1 tear pad coupons for Hershey's AND a $3/$15 crt for "Chocolate, Candy, Gum or Mints". I would have liked free bars to put back for Trick-or-Treat.

Edited to add: My logic is that the discounted item, does not really cost you that price (in this case 25c). Since I can't go in the store and buy 1 Hershey's for 25c, without buying the other at full price first, at the very least my bogo coupon should be worth half of $1 + 25c...

Can't understand the logic of the Hershey company when they printed the tearpad bogo MQs ---
the ones that expire 12/31/14 found in grocery stores have max value $1.19 and are only good on Krackel or Mr. Goodbar

the ones that expire 10/31/14 found at CVS have max value $1.49 and are good on Krakcel, Hershey milk chocolate, Hershey special dark, or Mr. Goodbar ( same sizes)

BOGOs might be more trouble than they are worth --- hate to use long dated MQs but I doubt I will need much candy after Halloween..... local groceries have $0.50/2 Snickers, Twic or Milky Way (2.83oz- 3.63oz) tearpads exp 6/30/15 DND... although I saw them last week... this week the pads seem to be gone so YMMV

I would call the 800 # and have a discussion about it, with the policy in front of you. Let them know what the store is doing, and ask if they could call. You can ask them not to use your name.

I agree, that should be a straight forward fix from the CS standpoint. Or you can try explaining it to your store with a copy of the policy in front of you if you havent tried that yet.
