So in a four person family plan, does this mean each person can only use up to 2.5GB before that line is throttled or the family can share 10GB before being throttled. I have some people in my family who won't be using a data plan, so the latter would really benefit me.

i'm in the same boat as you, and unfortunately the 10gb is not shared, 2.5gb each.

so what happens after this deal ends in 2015? do we need to switch to new plans or else?

If, before signing up or shortly thereafter, you get referred by an existing T-Mobile Simple Choice plan member, you will also get 1 of your lines with free unlimited high speed LTE data for a year.

So if you are planning on signing up, get someone to refer you too, to get this added benefit of unlimited high speed LTE data for 1 year.

I have been a Simple Choice T-Mobile customer (from Verizon) for two months now and I am happy. I have 7 lines at $130 a month (before taxes).

Wow, all these times I thought it was shared too. I was debating about doing the switchover but this is definitely a deal breaker. My mom doesn't use any data so I was hoping to take some of her data as shared but not with this case. Also, Sprint has been advertising for 20Gb for 4 lines SHARED which is pretty good for $100. Only problem is if you can ever get that much data cause Sprint sucks out here on the west coast and my work. Also would prefer to have a GSM phone for traveling and resale value. I was on Sprint for 4yrs. and when I tried to sell my galaxy s3 I couldn't get close to the same price as a GSM galaxy 3 that people were asking/selling for on Craigslist and you can't switch sim card oversea so something to consider.
