I initially thought that but I was at SB this afternoon and the barista told me about it and entered the code. She didn't indicate that it might not work. Of course, I got this email later tonight so I tagged it YMMV just in case

Do you even know how these promotion codes work?
- you tell your barista the promotion code
- barista enters the code at the register
- barista swipe your card or scan your mobile device
- barista tells you the discounted price (if any) for the item
- barista swipe your card or scan you mobile device one more time to complete the purchase.

Barista can enter any code you want him/her to enter but the register will not discount your purchase if you have not received the offer.

I understand how they work as does the barista at my normal shop. She watches out for the customers, ringing up each item separately without asking for stars so when she told me about the promo and she didn't mention the possibility of not working, I believed her. My apologies if I shouldn't have posted this.

I will say that me and the GF both received coupon code 353 but when we check it out on the app it says its buy one get one espresso. It says nothing about being after 2pm.

A side note, we rarely if ever have the same rewards as each other. Usually one of us gets one and the other one of us swears at them because we didn't get it. And when I say rarely, I mean unless every single person has it or there is some sort of seasonal thing going on. We both have gold cards and buy raise cards at $100 at a time. I have always lucked out with the better codes too Smilie

I would definitely recommend checking your account on the app for this one if you haven't already.

Speak of the devil! I just received the email a short bit ago. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that all accounts will be getting this.

They are sales people, nothing more.

I saw this offer in my account earlier, but accidentally dismissed it. I just received the email and printed the offer. Does anyone know if dismissing the offer will prevent me from using it?

urban dictionary definition seems pretty accurate:

"Pretentious sounding word used by dejected art history and drama majors that describes their employment in order to make themselves feel better about serving coffee"
