Ran across this on a post from Walmart tonight on Facebook. I have asked for a link to the promotion and will update once they give the link.

"Starting on October 5th and continuing through November 1st we're doubling the trade-In value of any phone that is brought to Walmart if you are purchasing a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Check your phone's trade-in value at http://walmart.cexchange.com."

So far they're the cheapest place to purchase a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, and with the double trade-in, the upgrade is cheap(er)!
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Gamestop Trade-in http://www.gamestop.com/recommerc...ily=iPhone (ex: iPhone 5 (16GB) Verizon quoted at $183 cash-value in-store; or $229 in-store credit value.)

WM trade in values are much lower than what Wireless carriers are offering. For Apple iPhone 4 16GB (A1332) - AT&T, WM appraised trade-in value is $57.50. Even doubling that is no match to $200 that was offered by AT&T, VZ, TM etc.

Apple iPhone 4 trade in value is $57. Even at double, it's way less than what all the other carriers are offering.

The prices look just like all the other carriers and retailers (often less) when you double them...

laugh out loud An iPhone 5s 16gb At&t would be worth 230x2=460. Awesome.

Verizon iPhone 5S 32GB is currently listed as $275, double that and I can get $550...pretty damn good, that's if I can buy a full price device from Wal-Mart tho

I quoted my iPhone 5 (16GB) and got $140 at WM. It's valued at $150 through AT&T. I didn't think there was that big of a difference with the other models as well?

The cheaper/older models have a significant different due to the current promo, but for newer iPhone models Walmart beats them after doubling.

If this holds true, they'd give you $460 at WM. How does that compare to other trade-in programs?

Starting OCT 5, that means they'll just lower any high value by then.
