bulb Does not support DRM. No encrypted files. Personal or *******.
= You can not transfer a "digital copy" unless you strip the DRM.

Another failed HP product. Good price if you need one.

"High-tech trans coding software promises that your content plays properly"

Translation: this will be a giant PITA to use.

Agreed it's a great price, and I actually have a legitimate use for one. Still not buying... description doesn't say anything about display size or ports. And my computer doesn't do google Wink

Transcoding? It'd probably be better off just transferring raw data. I can't imagine transcoding to 5 devices with this thing.

On the bright side, this does cost less than an HP printer cartridge.

Just realized I read the description wrong... this thing is basically a 32GB SD card with a wireless transmitter? Couldn't I just stick a 32GB card in the tablet and bypass the insanity? Or perhaps a family has to watch the same movie separately on their iphones simultaneously? This is a weird device.

Wanted to buy it until I realized I can get a 1tb portable hard drive for around 50 bucks. heck, I can get a 32 GB SD card for $15 that can basically do the same thing lol

Not all devices have memory card slots. This is for those situations.

I have one of these at work (I work @ HP). it's basically like the size of another phone that kind of streams over a local wifi network (hence the wifi). It has a Micro (or Mini - I forget) USB port.

No display size - no screen. This isn't really needed for people with Android devices with SD/ Micro SD, etc. For people who max out their iOS devices this COULD come in handy but I have never needed to use it.

So, presumably, the app on each target device has to establish a connection independently, which means... that you can watch 5 different movies simultaneously?

Mildly interesting if it was $20 shipped. With shipping and tax it's $28 for me and I don't want to make a special trip to Frys just to buy this.

Since the drive is FAT32, you're limited to a 4GB file size. Too bad about that.

It's a discontinued product so support will probably be lacking.
