Quote from Z87R4 :Sichuan Changhong Electric Co., Ltd. (Changhong) is a consumer electronics company based in Mianyang, China and founded in 1958. It is the second-largest manufacturer of televisions in China. In 2004, 90% of the television sets exported from China to the United States were made by Changhong.
They have over 32 thousand employees.

I think it will get you through your super bowl commercials.
BTW this is a big planet, you will not recognize many great manufacturers.
Do a little reading/research before posting an ignorant comment, as you may have a Changhong at home and not even know it. They are also an OEM LCD panel manufacturer, this is just their home branded unit.
I'm sure I just got a bad apple and my experience isn't the norm but I personally wouldn't make the same decision if I went back in time. A couple of months after having it a pixel died. Not a big deal, one pixel. Well then two perfectly straight lines shot out from the pixel. One vertical and one horizontal, both about a foot in length.
I've been told I have to pay for the shipping myself. Not to mention the sketchiness of the repair facility. Calling the number on the Changhong website landed me with a guy in California. They make no mention of Changhong when you call. Also to set up the RMA you are provided with a Hotmail address. I kid you not, tvrma at hotmail dot com. I'm going through that process now. If I get the TV back in working order I'm selling it immediately.
When it worked though I was fairly happy with it, so there's that.
