Asus VG248QE 24" 144 Hz 3D gaming monitor [staples.com] at Staples is current priced at $265. If you use Staple VISA Check out for $50 off, you end up with $215 + tax (if apply to you). The lowest price I have seen from SlickDeals past post was $243 as FP deal. I don't see why this combination would not reach FP if you are into 3D gaming. Guess before that G-sync gimmick is out, the price would not go anywhere.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I bought this monitor when it was released and that was more than a year ago. Cheapest I've seen was $245. $215+ tax should be FP.

Truly a slick deal on this monitor. I bought one a few months ago from Newegg and I am very pleased with the performance. This is approx. $13 cheaper when you factor in the tax. Not bad - not bad at all! REPPED.

I bought one from the last $243 FP deal and quite love the monitor. I intend to set up three monitor 3D gaming. Now I have two 3D monitors and one more to go. Will wait for BF for GTX970 deals.

Correct me if I am wrong, thought this monitor is g-sync upgradable. The kit is $200 (did not search intensively). In the future, maybe cheaper.

You're not going to need g-sync with a 144 hz monitor. The biggest worry after getting a 144hz monitor is going to be pumping out 120 fps. While you don't need to get 120 fps and 144 hz will help at any fps, it will give you the best experience. I would rather use g-sync than not, but it isn't going to matter a ton since tearing is already mostly gone on 144 hz.

Just read the term Embarrassment. It is one time offer per customer. Guess you have to ask your friends for help.

How's Staples's in-store return policy? I'm not sure I want to keep this monitor if it doesn't blow my current monitor away for FPS games like counter-strike.

I am not very heavy gamer, but I can get very, very lag raged, considering I was using a 32" 1080p tv as monitor (in gaming mode with everything turned off except power, of course). I was so happy to frag much I had been able to before. woot
