Thanks to Calder for the following:

Riteaid Couponing 101

Sign up for a Wellness Card with a phone number - present card / enter phone number for all transactions.
Regular Non-prescription purchases give you Points.
500+ points = Silver Level = 10% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.
1000+ points = Gold = 20% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.

Riteaid fake money is called Ups. They are, by default, Load2Card (loaded to the account) - but Cashier at register, the 800 number or Online Chat can set it to "Print" at the bottom of the receipt.

Register card online. For two things
VV = Video Value (VV) coupons. Watch 30 second (varies from 15 sec - 7+ minutes) videos and system gives you a VV coupon - that can be used along with a Manufacturer Q (MQ). Coupon barcode starts with RC49.
L2C Coupons - Load to card coupons (eCoupons) - somewhat workable but not a guaranteed eCoupon system. If you present the same paper MQ, the system removes the L2C.

FB RAQ = Facebook Riteaid Coupons (RAQs) - every Monday, RA coupons that can be used with a MQ on a given item. Coupon barcode starts with RC49.

MQ + 1 more Coupon
Rite aid allows 1 MQ and 1 RC49 (VV or FB RAQ) coupon on an item.

Ups
Ups get printed at the bottom of the receipt. Are valid the next day onwards - with a 14 days expiry. You need to cut them out for use for payment.

Up Deal Types
Buy N items, get $ Up = you must buy N items in one transaction. e.g. Buy 2 Get $5 Up.
Buy $$ amount, get $ Up = you can buy in multiple transactions and when your purchases cross the $$ amount, the Up will be printed on that receipt. e.g. Buy $20 Get $5 Up.
((Advanced RA 101: This $$ amount should be greater than 10))

Bottom of the receipt shows the amount spent.
(Unlike CVS, you MUST cross the $$ amount, a penny or two less will NOT print the Up.)

Paying with Ups.
Ups can be used for the entire payment but NOT the sales tax. There is no limit to how many (number) Ups can be used to pay for the transaction; just the amount (spent amount) less tax.

Register doesn't show Sales Tax amount separately.
RA registers show Total Due and Sales Tax - but NOT Total before Sales Tax (the amount you can use Ups for - you have to do this math.)

Limits: L1, L2, L3 etc
Deals have weekly limits. Bottom of the receipt shows what deals have already been done and the weekly limit reached.
Every month there are some "Monthly deals"; bottom of the receipt shows when the monthly deal limit is reached.
DD = Double Dip = When two deals overlap - and buying enough items will produce two different Ups.

BoGo: Riteaid allows BoGo + 1 cents-off Q - the cents-off Q will beep but the cashier enters it.

BoGo and BoGo50% are better than Gold price: If an item is advertised BoGo or BoGo50, you will not get 20% on the full price item. RA considers BoGo as a 50% discount and BoGo50 as a 25% discount - these are better than Gold level 20% discount; so you only get BoGo or BoGo50.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation
BOGO-50% $4UP wyb $12 (L2)
Buy 3: $10.99 + $5.49 + $8.79 Gold = $25.27
- (3) $4.00/1 coupons.com = $-12.00
= $13.27 OOP get (2) $4UP
NET: $5.27/3 or $1.76 each
(You can buy 4 with an OOP of $16.96, a NET of $8.96/2.24 each)

Band Aid
2/ $6.00 $4 UP wyb 4 (L2)
Buy 8: = $24.00
- (2) $5.00/3 (booklet inside FAK bags) & (1) $1.00/2 (Healthy Essentials IP) = - $11.00
= $13.00 OOP get (2) $4UP
NET: $5.00/8 or $.40 each
Plus you can pick up at least 2 more free First Aid Kit Bags

Reach Adult Toothbrush 1 or 2pk
$2.99 $2UP wyb 1
- $.50/1 insert - 08-17-14 SS
= $2.49 OOP get $2UP
NET: $.49

ROC (excludes cleansers)
$24.29 RR for most products / $19.43 Gold
$- $6 AdQ - $3Peelies or $3.00 Insert Advertised = $-9.00
= $10.43 OOP Seems like a decent price for this product line

The Dove Advanced looks promising.
$5.00 each (Shampoo, conditioner or antiperspirant)
$4UP wyb $12.00 (L4)
It says buy either a shampoo/conditioner, get a Deodorant free - Which I'm guessing will not count toward $12.00
This is to max out limit & does not include deodorants counting toward $12 or limits on free items:
Buy 5 Shampoo and 5 conditioner and 10 deodorants = $100
- $50 for 10 free deodorants
= $50.00 OOP Get (4) $4UP
NET $34.00/20 or $1.70 each
The right coupons could make this worth while and very likely this will need to be broken up into multiple transactions due to stock and/or possible limits.
Just throwing it out there to think about...

Just throwing it out there to think about...
Band aid...I'd buy 9 and use a third $5/3 mq. Makes oop $12, net $4 for 9. And...keep in mind $1 O from each first aid kit bought on a gold card, so it becomes $1 for 9 band aids and 3 first aid kits. And it can be a mm with the 3.49 items, as gold is less than sale price.

Dove...add in 10 dove shampoo vv's.

Reps are back...for now. Stick Out Tongue I owe loads of gratitude to everyone that got me where I am! Read the *NEW* CVS FAQ and post your questions there. Let's keep the deal threads deal-related, please.
Would it kill you to read the wiki? Or to read the thread? All the experts got to where they are by reading...you can too.

I don't remember what the threshold is, but yeah, in the beginning, reps count for 0 points. Eventually you'll give 1 point, then 2, then 3, then max out at 4. Points don't matter though...it's the thought that counts, and all reps are appreciated, regardless of points that go with 'em Smilie

OT - but thanks for the explanation. I noticed that my reps used to give 3 points and now give 4 so I just assumed, incorrectly it turns out, that SD increased a rep from 3 to 4 points. Your explanation makes much more sense! Big Grin

I believe the coupon is in the 10/12 SS - 10/2 was a Thursday.

Edit: or maybe not - I just checked my 10/12 SS and no Trident coupon - or maybe it's regional???

10/12 is correct.

Trident q's are always highly regional. I don't think I've ever gotten one.
