DirecTV is offering their "big deal" [dpbolvw.net], with pricing starting at $19.99/mo. (first year) Plus all of the standard promos, including: Free Genie, Free HBO/Showtime/Cinemax for 3 months, and more.

Plus, we (Slickdeals) are offering $110 back hassle-free, via Paypal. To take advantage of this, you need to:

1. Log In to Slickdeals:

Valid login is required to qualify for:
2. Click through this link [dpbolvw.net] and complete the signup process in a single browsing session. DirecTV Rebate

WARNING: You are NOT logged in. Click here to login or register

3. Upon receipt, email your confirmation number and Slickdeals userID to "rebates@slickdeals.net", using your preferred (Paypal) email address. This does not necessarily need to match your registered SD email.

4. Within 6-8 weeks of activation, Slickdeals will Paypal $110 to the email account used in Step 3.

SUPER-IMPORTANT NOTE: Please make sure that you complete the transaction in a single session, and that you are not using any toolbars, cashback sites, etc.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Please note; this rebate is not eligible on the purchase or redemption of gift cards.

Please note that the use of a DIRECTV promotional/coupon code may affect your eligibility for this rebate.

This rebate is not available for orders completed over the phone.

Pricing requires a 24 month commitment to DirecTV. If you cancel your service prior to the end of that window you may keep the $110 Rebate from Slickdeals, but DirecTV has their own fees.

The monthly pricing is subject to change, even during your contract.

"PLUS $110 back from Slickdeals! (via PayPal) "

So it's safe to assume slickdeals is getting $125-250 per referral lol? I like how they OP danced around that subject.

Ah yes, after a little research --

"Yes! We want you to spread the word about DIRECTV. As a current DIRECTV customer, you get $100 in bill credits for every friend you refer to DIRECTV. You can refer up to 10 friends a year. Your friends benefit too - because you referred them, they'll also get $100 in bill credits on top of our current best offers for new customers. Bill credits are applied as $10.00 credits for ten months."

Ever so slick, slick deals : )

Instead of using the slickdeals link, you could ask a friend with DTV to refer you and you'll each get $100, instead of one party getting $110.

I could not agree more! I signed my 85-year-old mother last year for a two year promotion, with the advertised price for the first year, and advertised price for the second year. The salesman wrote Down on the estimate what the exact price would be for the first year, and the exact price for the second year. Everything started fine, until 4 months in when they increased her bill by $25! She tried to contact them and tell them there was a mistake, and the next bill she got was for $15 even more over the price she was quoted for the first year. I finally had to get involved.

I called DirecTV. They promptly told me that the piece of paper that was given to us by their representative did not necessarily reflect the price that she would be charged! What!! I was livid. Over the next few months, I had to call them and try to get the contract price reinstated. Every time they told me that the estimate that was given to us by their representatives did not necessarily represent the actual cost. I have been so absolutely dissatisfied with DirecTV that I am cautioning anybody that they are absolute scam artists. My mom is on a limited income and we were quoted a price and had it in writing, and they did not honor it. They are simply put-liars! They have deceptive business practices and they simply don't care about customer satisfaction. I cannot tell you the hours that I wasted on the phone trying to sort all of this mess out. We are just waiting until she gets out of the contract, which is only four months away, and switch to someone who is more reliable and trustworthy.

Call and say "Cancel Service". That will connect you to someone with clout. Ask how much it would cost to buy out of your contract, and explain the fixed income situation. They offered me $25.00 off my package for 6 months...I pushed and asked for 12. They said ok to that. I ended up with a credit on my account for nearly $300.00. Of course I have been a customer for 10 years though. YMMV good luck.

LMAO. So you have a "Contract" which means you have to keep paying them for 2 years regardless of what they decide to charge you. What a joke.

If you cancel service within the 2 year window of your contract, I think they charge you $20.00 per month for the months you have left of your contract. After a ton of discounts are applied (that they make you work for)I think I am actually paying $35.00 a month , and thats with 2 HD DVR's.

Bunch of hating here, keep your cable then cause that's such a good deal.
Directv has the best service available - may not be the cheapest but the best. Also only 1 that has nfl ticket.
The current promo is weak though - last one had an additional $10 off for year 2 + a $100 visa gift card, and as always you could've gotten the $100 referral credit as well.

And about the NFL ticket, they force apply that to your monthly bill I you don't call and request that it be removed even if you didn't ask for it. I haven't had a constant bill in the last 18 months, my credit card gets charged $89-$130 a month depending on how they feel. Thank god my contact ends in November... Directv.. Never again!!!

"The monthly pricing is subject to change, even during your contract"

DirectTV is one company I'd NEVER do business with... no matter how low the price.
So many complaints, it's scary.
You sign a contract and then they can CHANGE the pricing DURING that contract? No thanks! Mad

Personally I rather sign up using the Sam's Club promotion.

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/dire...Jyw9lSYqng

$200 Sams Club gift card which arrived about a week after installation. I also called to add the refer a friend $100/$10 monthly credits.

DirectTV is scam! Not only did I buy my own box but after my service was up they said I had a stolen box and had to pay them again. I had proof, talk to 4 managers, e-mailed and faxed over my Proof of purchase and they still charged me... Screw DirectTV!!! they are a bunch of d-bags with the good old gotcha after the intro deal is over and you are on yr 2.. As much as con-cast sucks, at least you can cancel switch upgrade downgrade without penalty or fee's.

I have Directv and have had it for years. I have only ever had one rate increase. I was with Comcast before that and my bill would go up every 3 months. Directv is by far a better service!

You haven't been able to outright buy equipment from any TV provider for about 10 years.
