Anyone know if star codes from packages of Starbucks coffee count towards the dash totals?

They have in the past. I just redeemed my 10 star code from starbucks.com purchase yesterday, wish I had waited a few days.

My offer is "earn 12 stars and 10 get bonus stars, earn 15 stars and get 20 bonus stars." 15 stars in less than 2 weeks is a little ridiculous for me. I make a few purchases a week at most.

I'm five from gold but I believe they will start to revert in November. Any quick way to get five stars without spending much / anything?

Real slick deal = making your own lattes at home for about 45 cents.

The petite vanilla bean scones are their cheapest item at my SB, but you'd have to do 5 transactions.

You are limited to entering 2 star codes a day, so the quickest way of adding some is from purchases. I found that buying a gift card in a store gets a star.

Good point, you can't compare drinking a latte at Starbucks to a home-made latte. Two different products, and either can be cheaper or better depending on circumstances.

I personally like making my espresso at home, but you need to get the right gear. I hate the clean up, and of course the experience of staying home vs. going out is different.

That said, this whole star dash thing is getting old, and I don't see enough benefits of going gold vs. green. I've been "gold" for the last 6 months or more, but hardly drink enough starbucks to make it worth it.

When I travel for business and get Starbucks, I usually charge the company card. So not much to gain for me. I don't even have the first free drink/food item yet.

If you are gold level, you get your free food or drink reward after each 12 stars, with all those bonus stars? Is that the point of getting all the bonus stars if you're already gold?

Do you just buy the gift card with your registered card/app? I have gotten a star before from purchasing the reusable cup, so I know it's not just food/drinks that count.

Order a strawberry water. It's a free cup of water with a 60-cent dose of strawberry juice (baristas will vary the amount of juice from 1/3 of the cup to 2/3 of the cup). Gives you one star. Lather, rinse & repeat.

Can you pay with cash and have them scan your card so it links to the purchase?

I have had trouble getting the star by doing that. Safer route is to give them cash to load onto your account at the register first, then make the purchase.
