Hmm I bought from meritline last time, it was DOA, but they let me keep the item and sent me a replacement right away, the replacement works fine. Either way, I am getting another one while it's cheap for my bro, he just got a iPhone 6 plus Smilie

I've heard this interferes with wireless charging. Can anybody confirm?

I have one of these. It would be pretty hard to break... it's well built. Also the manufacturer is awesome about service IMO, I also have a gen 1 mount with the yellow pad and they happily sent me a grey pad free of charge.

The metal plate you attach to the back does in fact interfere with wireless charging.

However, if you position the metal plate away from the charging area, than you will be fine.

Purchased one last time Amazon had a deal and one the last time Meritline had it. It's been a great product. I've mounted my GPS on it (the ball head is the right size for Garmin) without issue but it sat lower than I like due to the positioning of my CD player. I currently use it to hold my Nexus 5.

Site is down. Is this price worth it? I have two different car mounts and I'm not overly happy with either one, they both have their pros and cons. I believe one is Mountek...

I have the 1st gen, and I thought it was awesome...until the vibration drove me nuts while trying to watch waze via my iphone5....

I ended up buying a cheaper ($9) from amazon that works SO much better.... It's called "Aduro U-GRIP PLUS Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount" for those curious. When my iphone is mounted to the dashboard, I also find it much easier to see than when it's in my CD-slot mount.

Previous threads about this same mount have said that the magnet has no ill effects on phones.

Cool concept, I'm looking for a mount for the Note 4. Unfortunately my CD slot is closer to the gear shift than the radio controls or nav unit. Frown

If there is a seam where two pieces of the dashboard meet, you could possibly mount it in the seam.
