If you are a fan of Nexus phones like I'm then this deal could be for you: It is rumored that the Nexus 6 phablet will be released today 10/15 or tomorrow. The specs are impressive and the screen is huge and since it's a Nexus phone, the price will be attractive off-contract. Here is some rumored specs for the Nexus 6 (codename Shamu):

*5.9-inch, 2560x1440 (QHD) display
*Snapdragon 805 processing
*13MP rear camera with OIS, 2MP front-facing
*3GB RAM
*3200mAh battery
*Running the latest pure Android L version

Here is a leak rendered image of the Nexus 6 [twitter.com]

PhoneArena.com indicates that the Nexus 6 phone and Nexus 9 tablet will be released 1-2PM EST today! [phonearena.com]

Once Google announced the Nexus 6 (usually around noon PST) the pre-order should be available on Google Play Store [google.com] Tax and shipping will be charged if they follow the same protocol of the Nexus 5 release last year.

Stay tuned!

Looks like AT&T pulled the add since the Nexus 6 hasn't been officially announced yet. Check out the screenshots of the add and let your anticipation begin. drool

Direct link to Google Play Store [google.com] for pre-ordering once the Nexus 6 is announced soon. In the past, Google announced the Nexus 5 around 12 noon PST/ 3PM EST. Google charges tax and expedite shipping.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Nexus 9 tablet will be announced along with the latest version of Android (Android L). The 9-inch tablet carrying the HTC Volantis codename will bring dual front-firing speakers, and be powered by Nvidia's Tegra K1 chip in its 64-bit variation, with two large Nvidia Denver CPU cores and a Kepler 192-shader GPU

Either this or I am going back to my Nexus 5, all depends on the price at the moment. Does anyone have a recommendation for an Android phone with less issues? I almost got LG G3, then saw my friends phone lagging and random reboots.

Stick with Nexus 5 if you dont want to upgrade. Nexus 5 will get upgrade to Android L before any other non Nexus phone. Why did you want to upgrade from N5? I have mine and I love the wireless charging feature among other things. It's been running smoothly and I only had to reboot it 2-3 times since I got it due to locked up issue. It's one of the best Android phones on the market still.

I'm guessing that since Google hasn't officially announced the Nexus 6 yet, AT&T cannot show any specs until it is announced which is anticipated to be either today or tomorrow according to many rumors.

The One+1 "Flagship Killer" might be what you're looking for. You'll either need to get an invite from someone who already has one, or hang around their Facebook and Twitter feeds until you can win an invite (supposedly not all that hard). It comes stock with a Cyanogen ROM. If you ever see one for sale which doesn't have the Cyanogen logo etched on the back, then it's an overseas model which doesn't have the correct 4G/LTE bands for the USA, and someone is trying to rip you off, and usually at a very high price!

My brother has this phone and it's great. Nice design, big clear IPS screen, great speakers, fast too. I hear that they will let people order the phone without invite soon.

Why such a larger screen? 6 inch screen on a smartphone is way to big! Google really screwed up, but I think the reason they went big was to distance themselves from the iPhone 6+ and Note 4, while also not cannibalizing Moto X 2014 sales.

Well said. Don't get the phablet craze - maybe I am just old-fashioned.

Yes, looks like AT&T pulled the add but I just posted the screenshots. Again, the Nexus 6 hasn't been officially released yet. The announcement is expected to be today or tomorrow.
