Ahead of the Galaxy Note 4's release in the US tomorrow, Samsung has a last-minute incentive for potential buyers as well as those who have already pre-ordered. The company just announced a new partnership deal with OnLive, which gives owners of its fresh, big-screen handset three months of free gaming through the streaming platform. Samsung's promotion is part of the Galaxy Gifts Package, a collection of free software from its own app store, and will give users access to titles from OnLive's PlayPack bundle, such as Batman: Arkham City, Darksiders, Rogue Legacy and many more. The OnLive service is typically $9.95 per month -- so not only do you save some cash, but also have the chance to try it without any attachments. Once you have your Note 4, the OnLive app can be downloaded from the Galaxy Apps shop.

I have the Note 3. I only fell in love with the phone after I rooted it at removed all the shitware that Samsung and AT&T put on it. Stuff you can't even un-install. It wasn't something I paid attention to, but I will in the future when comparing phones.

Probably trolling, but are there any specs that actually win out for the 6+? Seems like a note 3 with apple branding. ZzZZz

On a separate note, (lol) does anyone know if verizon note 4 is going to go on presale at amazon soon enough to at least get the 200 dollar samsung trade in? I need to take advantage of shipping it, to grandfather in my unlimited.

Did you install a custom rom on your note 3? If you did, how is the functionality (s-pen) of the phone compared to touchwiz? I'm thinking about waiting until cm is out for note 4 until buying it.

I put a custom rom on mine and it's still just as functional with the S-pen. You still have air commands and note taking apps works just as the same.

I did the same to my Note 10.1.2014. The batteries last a lot longer as well when you run custom roms on Samsung devices.

Yeah, I've had a few different roms on mine and they have all worked fine without losing functionality.

Is it hard to root? I hate Samsung's shitware too!

Can I just root to remove the shitware? I don't really care about custom roms?

Is it hard? No.

Do you need to really read up to completely make sure you don't screw it up. Yes.

Everything I've learned about rooting/custom roms is from xda-developers.

Are you talking about Aosp roms? Because I always avoided them because I figured the spen functions wouldn't be there.
