From the article:

If you have a baby today in the U.S., your newborn is eligible for a free $500 mutual fund investment from Voya Financial (VOYA), formerly known as ING U.S.

On average, more than 10,000 babies are born each day in the U.S., Glover says. The company is prepared to provide the gift to every baby born today in this country, but parents or guardians of eligible newborns must register for the offer at voya.com/borntosave by Dec. 19.

If the mods want to move this to the financial forum then go ahead, this will not affect many since the child has to be born today however for the one's who are eligible $500.00 is a nice gift to start out with.

It will cost you now than $500 in "premey" hospital bills throughout the child's life, so not worth it in my opinion :-P

You're not the only one to miss the point of the '9 months ago' joke so I'll fill you in: With 9 month warning you could have a good chance to have a baby born today. Wink

If she is only a girlfriend, chances are you won't be around long enough to see your child reap the rewards of the investment. She"ll gain custody. Sorry to pop your bubble. Good luck tho!
