I wish all programming was Ala cart.. If they did and offered month to month no contracts service I might consider any tv provider, but I have cut the cord.. $60/month with nothing on does not work with me since the over the air TV signals are sooooo much better and plenty of ways to make PVRs for OTA content.. Well I guess I think with the digital age we really do not need the TV packages like we did a decade or 2 ago..

I used the web chat feature and was transferred to an account specialist. I just said my kids watch cartoon network and I watch TCM and CNN. Kept at that and said that I should be credited for the period they were out

They offered Starz free for a month first but I don't really care about Starz. They then escalated to the account specialist who then offered the $10 for 10 deal.

For the hell of it I asked about Starz and he gave that too.

Cartoon network, adult swin, trutv, and boomerang are watched a lot in our house. this really pisses me off. is this another stupid temporary disruption? i've never asked for discounts in the past for this crap, but this is getting ridiculous. If I could get just half assed decent internet speed in the boonies where I live, I'd drop dish in a minute and I've been a loyal customer for 18 years.
p.s. - 10 bucks a month for 10 months seems pretty damn weak. but I know its like fighting goliath...
and no, I don't get any broadcast stations OTA out where I live

that seems like a fairly legit attempt at compensation. guess I'll have to give it a try

We pretty much watch CNN only + local news channels. With CNN being removed I have no reason to keep this package. Any suggestions for seeking compensation or changing package?

Very true, I can't watch FoxNews. If I ever want to watch FoxNews, I take a pain killer.

Wow I would be pissed. Those are some of my favorite channels when I had cable. People pay way too much for services like these to have big channels like these pulled.
