You guys think it's worth it to jump now or wait till BF? I kinda want to get one now but don't want to regret seeing lower prices on BF.

I'm actively looking for an SSD as well for sometime for my 2011 macbook pro. Would you guys think the 840 pro at this price is substantially better than the Crucial MX100 256GB at 112$? Also, anyone think prices could go much lower during BF or is still this a good deal?

The prices of SSDs are on a downward trend regardless of BF. So you will see continued lowering prices. But if you really need the SSD now for things you want to accomplish with a computer, then buy now with no regret, because time is also money.

I have the Sandisk Extreme II and it's very very good but it would only trump the Samsung 840 not the pro. If I had the choice and at this price I'd get the Samsung 840 Pro.

I would pocket the $15 amd put it towards more ram. Both are equal. One beats the other in certain benchmark.

$15 worth of RAM may get you about 1 Gig worth.... Just get the SSD and skip lunch for the day.
