Hey guys,

I didn't see this posted, so I thought I'd share.

NOTE: This Bare Hard Drive is backed by a 2 year parts & labor warranty.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Not bad. I paid $103.86 over at the Egg a year ago. But that's a retail box with a three year warranty. Still going strong in my NAS.

Wow, 2700RPM must not get hot at all. Big Grin Even lower than my Jaz drive(3600rpm)! Wink

I remember my first drive... 17mb, 60ms access time in a Mac SE. First *really big drive* 400mb for $200. Somewhere I had one of the first 5.25 Seagate that was less than 5mb....

That has nothing to do with the HDD. You need to update your motherboard bios/firmware in order to have 3TB drives register. Even then, Windows has problems with 3TB drives as the main OS drive. Not specific to this model.

Windows 7 had no problem with seeing all 3TB in my machine, and

This is slow?

(HDTune results from my 3TB Toshiba)

Sequential Read

192.4 MB/sec Max
151.9 MB/sec Avg
15.4ms Access time.

Make sure your mother board supports 3tb bootable. it should say in the specs.

Good deal on the drive!

Who in their right mind would use this to boot anyways? Get in the 21st century and buy a SSD

OP, I was going to give you reputation points for this post, but I have decided not too. This is just a boring mechanical hard drive from the stone age. Take a thumbs down as well.
