Thanks to Calder for the following:

Riteaid Couponing 101

Sign up for a Wellness Card with a phone number – present card / enter phone number for all transactions.
Regular Non-prescription purchases give you Points.
500+ points = Silver Level = 10% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.
1000+ points = Gold = 20% discount OR Sale price whichever is better.

Riteaid fake money is called Ups. They are, by default, Load2Card (loaded to the account) – but Cashier at register, the 800 number or Online Chat can set it to "Print" at the bottom of the receipt.

Register card online. For two things
VV = Video Value (VV) coupons. Watch 30 second (varies from 15 sec – 7+ minutes) videos and system gives you a VV coupon – that can be used along with a Manufacturer Q (MQ). Coupon barcode starts with RC49.
L2C Coupons – Load to card coupons (eCoupons) – somewhat workable but not a guaranteed eCoupon system. If you present the same paper MQ, the system removes the L2C.

FB RAQ = Facebook Riteaid Coupons (RAQs) – every Monday, RA coupons that can be used with a MQ on a given item. Coupon barcode starts with RC49.

MQ + 1 more Coupon
Rite aid allows 1 MQ and 1 RC49 (VV or FB RAQ) coupon on an item.

Ups
Ups get printed at the bottom of the receipt. Are valid the next day onwards – with a 14 days expiry. You need to cut them out for use for payment.

Up Deal Types
Buy N items, get $ Up = you must buy N items in one transaction. e.g. Buy 2 Get $5 Up.
Buy $$ amount, get $ Up = you can buy in multiple transactions and when your purchases cross the $$ amount, the Up will be printed on that receipt. e.g. Buy $20 Get $5 Up.
((Advanced RA 101: This $$ amount should be greater than 10))

Bottom of the receipt shows the amount spent.
(Unlike CVS, you MUST cross the $$ amount, a penny or two less will NOT print the Up.)

Paying with Ups.
Ups can be used for the entire payment but NOT the sales tax. There is no limit to how many (number) Ups can be used to pay for the transaction; just the amount (spent amount) less tax.

Register doesn't show Sales Tax amount separately.
RA registers show Total Due and Sales Tax – but NOT Total before Sales Tax (the amount you can use Ups for – you have to do this math.)

Limits: L1, L2, L3 etc
Deals have weekly limits. Bottom of the receipt shows what deals have already been done and the weekly limit reached.
Every month there are some "Monthly deals"; bottom of the receipt shows when the monthly deal limit is reached.
DD = Double Dip = When two deals overlap – and buying enough items will produce two different Ups.

BoGo: Riteaid allows BoGo + 1 cents-off Q – the cents-off Q will beep but the cashier enters it.

BoGo and BoGo50% are better than Gold price: If an item is advertised BoGo or BoGo50, you will not get 20% on the full price item. RA considers BoGo as a 50% discount and BoGo50 as a 25% discount – these are better than Gold level 20% discount; so you only get BoGo or BoGo50.

If I remember correctly, Skintimate and Edge are $3.49 RR/$2.79 gold.

Buy 6 gold = $16.74 - 6 $2 in-ad Q (YMMV) = $4.74 and get $5+Up.

Any mfg. Q's would make this an even better deal.

Aleve PM $5.79 (your store may be cheaper) $4.63 g
Use $1 VV, $2 Aleve PM 20ctIPQ [aleve.com] sign up and save (says $1online however prints out a $2 revtrax Q), get $2 UP
(check your stash of CRT Q's, I got a $2 Aleve PM last week).

FREE with overage. Limit 2 per card
Plus counts towards savingstar deal $5 wyb $25

Edit...checked a second store Aleve PM 20 ct was 6.49/5.13g so prices are varying store by store.

Just curious what you were going to post as 2 of my stores will take expireds (especially if only 1 day) so wondering if it is something good I would be interested in. Will you pm me the deal??? Thanks. This also goes to the conversation in the previous week about not taking beepers...... of course they get reimbursed. That is the reason my stores will take expireds cause they do get reimbursed as they often submit them only once a week or once every 2 weeks so there is no way for the coupon redemption center to know when they were redeemed and the only way they do not get reimbursed is if they are audited and they do not have sufficient product sold to account for the number of coupons.

Thanks for pointing out this deal. And it definitely gets sweeter, but only for Sunday 11/16. In the 10/05 SS, there's both a $1.00/2 Edge shave cream mq anda $1.00/2 Skintimate mq. These expire 11/16, however, so there's only one day to do the deal.

Using yensshopper's pricing above, the total for 6 would be $1.74 and get $5 +UP = $3.26 MM. woot

(I haven't looked at any insert previews yet, but perhaps there will be new mqs published for these, extending the deal into the week.)

Band Aids and Johnson and Johnson red cross
BOG50% spend 30 get 10 UPs L2

buy 12 band aids at 3.49 = 31.38
use 4 x $5/3 mq
also $4 from overage on free bags at gold price
pay 7.38 get $10 UP

The J&J red cross will probably be even better but I don't remember the price right now.

In Sept/Oct RA thread, there is a post about Mucinex $2 coupons which can be found at a pediatrician's office.
I found the coupons at my Pediatrician's office and used one with Mucinex Hot Tea but it beeped. Not sure if we can use it as there have been some reports about some stores not accepting coupons which beep.

I did the J & J deal last week ($4 up with purchase of 4) with the lowest priced Red Cross gauze pads priced at $2.99 at my store.
The lowest priced Band Aids in my area are $3.79 so those gauze pads are useful to combine with Band Aids to make it to closer to $30.
last week, I only found 4 at one store where I also found J & J bags with coupons inside. Other stores did not have any J & J bags or had bags without coupons inside.

If you have gold on multiple cards, it's better to just stick to the limit 2 +UP. Net cost per unit for that is .19 where if you do the SS deal, net cost per unit is .39

The Revtrax Q says 80 ct or larger, so it won't work on this.
