OFFER TERMS

If we identify you as currently having an American Express(R) Card account, you may not be eligible for this welcome bonus offer. This offer is also not available to applicants who have or have had this product.

10,000 Membership Rewards(R) Points and One Year of Amazon Prime
To qualify for the 10,000 Membership Rewards points and the Amazon Prime offer, you must make purchases with your Amex EveryDaySM Credit Card that total $1,000 or more (the "spend threshold") within your first 3 months of Card Membership starting from the date your account is approved. In rare instances, your period to spend $1,000 may be shorter than 3 months if there is a delay in receiving your Card. Also, purchases may fall outside of the 3 months period in some cases, such as a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction. (For example, if you buy goods online, the purchase date may be the date the goods are shipped). The 10,000 points will be credited to your Membership Rewards Program account 6-8 weeks after you meet the spend threshold. Qualifying purchases can be made by the Basic Card Member and any Additional Card Members on a single Card Account. Purchases to meet the spend threshold do NOT include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchases of traveler's checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, or purchases of any cash equivalents. Additional Card Members on your account are not eligible for this offer. To receive the 10,000 points and the Amazon Prime offer, your Card account must be active, in good standing, and not in default at the time of fulfillment. American Express reserves the right to modify or revoke offer at any time. For questions regarding your Card account, please call the number on the back of your Card.Terms and Conditions for the Membership Rewards(R) program apply. Visit membershiprewards.com/terms or call 1-800-AXP-EARN (297-3276) for more information. Participating partners and available rewards are subject to change without notice.

After you meet the spend threshold, we will email you a promotional code to redeem for one year of Amazon Prime at www.amazon.com/amexprimeoffer. We will send the promotional code to the email address you provide in your application after the spend threshold is met. In the event we do not have your email address on file or if the email is undeliverable, we will send a letter with your promotional code to the address provided in your application, which may take up to 4 weeks. If you are a current Amazon Prime member, including an Amazon Mom member or Amazon Student member, your complimentary year of Amazon Prime will begin on your current membership renewal date and you will maintain the same level of membership. If you are an Amazon Prime Fresh member, you can redeem the promotional code for either four additional months of Amazon Prime Fresh membership, or one year of Amazon Prime membership (without Fresh, if you elect to downgrade prior to redeeming), which would begin after your current membership expires. If you are an Amazon Student member in a six-month Student free trial, you can redeem the promotional code for one year of Amazon Student membership, which would begin immediately upon redemption. Promotional codes are good for one-time use only and must be redeemed by 8/31/15.

Amazon Prime Terms and Conditions apply to Amazon Prime memberships and are subject to change without notice. The Amazon Prime Terms and Conditions currently provide that unless you notify Amazon that you want to cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your Amazon Prime membership will automatically continue each year. This means that Amazon will collect the then-applicable membership fee and any taxes by charging a credit card Amazon has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. My application screen "If you have an existing American Express card, you may not be eligible for this offer" and said if you have this card you are not eligible.

Hmmm...

I get it if you have this card already. But you should be OK if you don't have this card but do have other Amex cards I think. Anybody know for sure?

They specify other Amex cards, then specify this particular card. They don't specify which other Amex cards "may" disqualify you.

Here's my question: you apply to the card through this offer and get accepted for the card. How do you know for sure you are going to (or not going to) get this offer?

Had same message for Amex Gold charge card, even though I've never had one before.

If you have no existing Amex card and fulfill the spending terms then you have a legal right to the bonus.

What's the different between this and the Blue Cash card?
This one gets Points for purchases and the Blue Cash card gets Cash Back for purchases.
Anyone know what the big differences are in these 2 rewards?

I have the Costco Amex card. My prime renewal is coming up soon. This offer looks very tempting, but I got screwed by applying for the Discover It card online. I think that I will call this one in to confirm that I am eligible for this promo. Does anyone know how much the 10,000 points is worth in gift cards and which retailers participate?

Amex has recently implemented a "Once in a Lifetime" bonus restriction - you are only allowed one bonus per card/per lifetime. I know it applies to a given card product but was not aware of them taking into account other Amex cards
