This is the 2013 model (both versions are - see below for details). It does not support LTE, has no SD Card slot, and will not work with Sprint or Verizon.
This phone is unlockable. It must be unlocked for AT&T. I used unlockscout and can use it on AT&T
Consumer Cellular sends out both the US GSM version (XT1034) and international version (XT1032). Unfortunately you have to open the box and find the model number printed on the back of the battery to know which version. Plugging in via USB into computer will NOT tell you the correct model number as it only reads the ROM model number- only the sticker battery model number is correct.
In order to use this on compatible carriers other than Consumer Cellular, this must be SIM Unlocked (costs ~$3 - read below for details).
After a SIM Unlock, the US version (XT1034) will work great with AT&T and T-Mobile networks. After a SIM Unlock, the International version (XT1032) will work great with AT&T's network but will have limited data on T-Mobile's network (in some cities it will work great and in other cities you'll be stuck with 2G data).
To fix the above issue, enable all GSM bands on the Moto G's beyond what the ROM's bands limitations- google to find the XDA thread to do this.
This phone automatically updates to 4.4.4 KitKat, and will get the 5.0 Lollipop in about a month. The phone comes with stock Android, and no skins of any kind. This phone compares to the Moto version directly from Motorola, including the version numbers.

AT&T APN settings I used:
Name: ATT Phone
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Mobile Virtual network operator: Not set
Note there are some AT&T APN settings that are titled wap.cingular or have cingular in it. Those get you 3G data (up to like 1.5-2 mbps for me) but not HSDPA (up to 7 mbps for me)
This phone has NO LTE, and NO micro SD slot. 3G only.

I was able to unlock using X1034 using the following instructions and it works with Tmobile now. Credit to wbc1228 for the following info from previous SD thread:
Quick Update, received my phone and it is the XT1034 version (US GSM).
I rarely use data so both versions would have been fine with me.
I was able to do a sim unlock, unlock the bootloader, flash clockwordmod recovery/cm11/new boot logo just fine.
The only difficulty was trying to figure out what to do with the sim unlock code.
I used the UnlockScout, which was recommended in one of the earlier post
My Unlock code was something like
q628xeq338 54329336 23189219 da2213f7
(warning, the sim unlock code is different for every phone, do not use this one).
There was no way to enter in letters into the unlock prompt.
I converted the letters to numbers and enter that... nope
ignored the letters and only enter in just the numbers.. nope
enter in only the 8 digits from the second block of unlock code.....yes, finally, that unlocked the phone
I can confirm that the 150$ moto g xte model # xt1064 can be unlocked as well. Used one of the online ebay sellers @2.19$ for the unlock. They link you to unlockscout after you have paid, where you then put in a request. Took a couple of hours for the unlock to arrive. As state before, make sure you enter in only the second block- all numbers.
