Please note - You must change your plan online (or call or chat with an AT&T rep) to affect this change. It does NOT appear that it will happen automatically!

To Make This Change:
1) Log into your AT&T account.
2) Go to your account overview tab
3) Click on the "Change Plan" option.
4) You should see a plan comparison with your existing plan next to the new plan with the higher data allotment. The estimate monthly price should be the same for the new plan.
5) Select the new plan.

This change goes into effect immediately - ie you can use the higher allotment for the rest of the current cycle. However, if you have already gone over the data allotment for the current billing cycle, the AT&T reps can make it retro-active to the start of the current billing cycle. You only need to do this if you have already gone over your old data allotment prior to making the change to the new higher allotment.

** Please note - your account overview screen will not immediately reflect the new plan with the higher data allotments. I assume it takes 24hrs for their servers to update. However, you can verify that the change has taken place by clicking on the "change plan" again. This time you will see the new higher allotment listed under your current plan. **

someone explain to me why unlimited plans are throttled again when there obviously isn't a data problem if they're giving away data like this.

Are they just adding data, or are they jacking prices as well? You never know with these bastards.

In Portland, OR. they are good they run on ATT network now but capped speed 8Mpbs. little bit of latency, but I do not see a difference.

Very lame. On an unlimited plan, they give 5GB of LTE data per month, then throttle by giving Edge speeds the rest of the month for the sake of the network.

...unless you pay for a 30gb plan. Then you can have 30gb LTE that month, unrestricted.

Maybe just maybe these stingy cell companies are waking up and seeing that most people are not going to pay several thousand dollars a year for cell phone and service.
No matter how slick their ads are. Like Stupid Sprint says come lease an iPhone and get unlimited everything service for $50/m. Well after the lease and taxes you are paying close to a $90/m for one line. Their new ceo is really a genius. Isn't he?
