I just got a message on my Xbox from Microsoft saying:

"Surprise! Thanks for your recent purchase of the Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle. We hope you are loving it! Just for fun, we will send you a free token for Ryse: Son of Rome."

I did get a second message with the code. It's unclear if this is sent to those who register the system or for redeeming the game code that comes in the box (as I have done both), but hey, free game, amirite?

Interesting post... looks like in the link that you provided someone said that this would only be valid up to and including November first. Supposedly that is based on what a rep from Microsoft said.

I'm hoping that this is not true, and that the bonus of Ryse will be included beyond today, as I will be buying the Xbox One tomorrow, and that was one of the games I wanted to buy with it!

Edit: I misread the post on the link you provided. Sounds like it needed to be done yesterday. "...before November 1st."

RYSE was way better than the crappy reviewers gave it credit for and it's no wonder considering that these console companies pay people for their reviews.

Anyway, this is a great deal.

You need to go to the Microsoft Online Service Center I believe. That was where I registered my 360, which I only did because it just died but was fortunately still under warranty.

My guess is Microsoft is giving away Ryse to change the nature of the deal whereby you can't pricematch the $399 system once it becomes $349 on Nov 2nd.

Basically, Suprise -- you can no longer price match this deal since we decided to throw in a $15 game instead of giving you a $50 refund. I would tell them to keep the game as I didn't agree to those terms upon submitting the order.

In order to prevent rage and claims of "bait and switch" they are throwing these free gifts...
I'm still waiting for the best time of the season to get me an X1, if only I had some BF ads leaked to know what will be bundled...

I pre-ordered the sunset bundle, not only did they refund me the 50$ already, they gave me ryse for free. Don't why people are bashing Microsoft.

PS I bought from the MS store.

I bought the SSO bundle 2 days ago from Best Buy and haven't seen anything like this. I also added 12 months of XBL the same day. I'm just looking forward to tomorrow so I can get my $50 back.
