Walmart.com has Schwinn 430 Elliptical for $489 w/ free shipping or free in-store pickup. Usually $599 at most stores (freight shipping can add to price). Not a huge discount, but ellipticals typically don't have huge sales and this is rated on many websites as one of the best budget ellipticals at $599. Also, use shopdiscover for 5% off Walmart.com.

I bought this when if was around the same price a few months back. I am 5 11" and was 265 lb (now 230lb) and had no issues with it handling my weight or the stride.

Good to know. I am 6 ft and my wife is 5 ft. I'm hoping it works for both of us. I'm planning on setting it up today around the football games (we will see how that goes).

No good if it's not a Precor elliptical.

Congrats on the weight loss.

Quick tip: if you're currently looking to lose weight; an elliptical, bike, or even swimming, is much better for you than running on a treadmill or outside. Running puts a TON of stress on your joints (knees in particular). So if you're heavy, running will most likely be very tough on your joints as opposed to the alternatives.

Source: my own hypothesis which is probably backed up by science if you care to find some studies.

I bought this one last BF. This one has built in speakers and fan. It runs very quiet and use magnet. I think it is better than others within this price range. This one is last year's model, so it's not old model.

yeah elliptical is the way to go.
just trying to decide if buying this would be good in addition to my planet fitness membership or if i could cancel the membership and just use this. i don't lift weights and i don't use the treadmills...just the elliptical anyways

I have bad timing.

I bought this for $534 on Amazon last month along with the Schwinn 270 Recumbent bike for $424. The poster is right. I sat around waiting for sales and, either they rarely came up or, if they did, the shipping and taxes would kill those deals. This machine is a large sized box. Shipping weight is listed as 226 lbs on amazon.

The Schwinn 470 Elliptical is $200 more but I did not see the value in spending the extra money for the LCD to be lit up blue, a few more programs, or the motorized include setting.

Side Note:
Amazon has a "top selling" in the category list. Most of those items have high reviews and are a cheap price so I gave them a try. Trust me, you get what you pay for. The difference in quality and performance with these Schwinn over the top selling items is like night and day.

Thanks. I bought this. I anticipate listing it on Craigslist for $100 in February.

I don't eat to many calories.. I gain weight as I breath in air.
