I went to my local Honda dealer today and they are giving $4000 off on msrp price for accord and crv. Crv lx awd 2014 was 19995 after discount. Zip code 94588.

See promo email from the dealer.

you can always chat with them, i purchased a toyota camry last summer and got 5500 off msrp. i asked the dealer to match an out of state price. to my surprise they did it. it was all done via email.

Did you need to provide them any proof for price match?

No proof should be needed.
The dealers are there to make money.
Just be a little persistence and You should get the deal You want.
There should be some great deals during the year end sales event.
Thank You.

I think Anderson Honda had similar deals earlier this month... From the emails I've been receiving. South Bay Honda don't have much going on for Accord and CR-V lately.

That would mean dealer can still make money 6000 of MSRP since Honda is giving them 4000 to get rid of old inventory.
The MSRP price usually is $3000 over invoice.
