Great price for a decent prime lens, it must be grey market.

From the same seller It was $99.99 just yesterday.

Great deal, I already have one and this lens is too good for its price. And at this price, a steal!

Well not as slick as I thought, but not bad. The 50mm f/1.8 for my Nikon was quite a bit more.

I enjoy shooting with this lens. It's a cheap addition to the quiver and, while it may not be the most versatile lens, it produces very nice images in the right circumstances. Anything under $100 shipped for a new one is a good deal, IMO.

apples to oranges. that nikkor 50mm lens is built like a tank. it rivals canon L glass in build quality. that nikkor is actually better built than my canon 100mm 2.8L macro, which was $1000 when i bought it.

this canon 50mm looks and feels like a toy. it's very small. but it is still functional and can produce good images. it is still worth buying even if you have to replace it several years down the road

I had this lens until mine broke this summer. Been stalking one and should have pulled the trigger last week when Canon.com had refurbs for $62 or so. Right now their refurbs are $102.

It's from a highly rated seller on Ebay, so I would say this qualifies as a SD3

i would get this lens if I didnt already have the 40mm 2.8. Thinking about selling that one to get the 50 1.4

While I don't disagree on the feeling like a toy. I had my 50mm drop out of my camera bag onto hard ground and the focal ring popped into the lens and thus the focus wasn't adjustable anymore. At some point I just attempted to pop it back out and that worked. We are now 6 or 7 years past that date and it still works like new.

Great deal. Not an authorized dealer/no warranty unless they go by another name, but I'd buy one if I didn't already have it.
