How does this compare to the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra for similar price on BF?

Thinking of getting this for my gf. However, most T-Mobile kiosks/stores have dummy phones on display. Went into one with working units but they did not have this model.

How is this phone? Performance wise and bulkiness wise. Seems thicker than my OPO but maybe not.

Decent deal on a 720p, 6" phone. Though, not IPS. Even the Chinese ones for cheaper boast IPS.

Wallmart sells it for 199. Hard to hold because its too wide and the edges are a bit sharp. Mine would reboot once every day. The good things battery lasts 2 days moderate use and 1 day heavy use and 2GB of ram. Phone is pretty much Vanilla Android, fast for what your paying and has a huge screen. I would say buy it if you need a huge battery and dont have more then $199. I would get the Sony just because of Brand.

Based purely on specs and brand, I'd say Xperia T2 probably has a better display, camera and design/build. Battery looks good too, though ZMax has a bigger battery, but 3000 mah should be sufficient for an average user, especially with the Xperia power saving options. I'm not a fan of OEM skins and UI's though, so ZMax's stock pure android is a major advantage IMO.
What concerns me is the T2's 1 gig of RAM and 8 gig of ROM. 8 gb internal storage (and whatever is actually available to the user) and lack of sd support just doesn't cut the rug these days, unless you root.

P.S. I have had my ZMax for three weeks now, most definitely bang for the buck. $204 stretched over monthly payments with T-Mo sounds like a good deal.

- supports T-Mobile Band 12 LTE rolling out nationwide
- can't be rooted ... yet
- $140 less

I played with this phone for a few minutes and it actually felt really nice in my hands. Browsing did not seem slow and videos played fine. I did not try any games or heavy apps. Screen wasn't bad either. It was easy on the eyes even at 720p.
Do not compare this phone to a sony or samsung note, this is a budget phablet at a really affordable price.

seems like you do require a plan with t-mobile or you have to add a line
