I saw a $10 ebay gift card in my paypal account under Wallet tab, I am not sure if it's targeted or something else. Just a heads up. bounce

People are saying it isn't redeeming for them....wonder if it is for a promo not activated yet??

I just got off the phone with CS at Paypal. These certificates are a "known glitch" and they won't work. He told me that if a transaction had been completed he could refund it, but since I hadn't completed the transaction when the code didn't work, he said there was nothing he could do. And he said if I did complete the transaction, there was nothing he could do because he had already told me it was a glitch. I told him I would complete the transaction because I had already committed to the purchase on eBay, and I didn't want my feedback of 15 years negatively effected by this "glitch". So I did while I was on the phone. He went on to tell me that I was out of luck, because they wouldn't fix it. I told him I wanted to speak to his manager. So, after about 3 minutes I got a very apologetic manager who said he could not believe how this CS rep had responded. He assured me that as soon as we were off the phone, he would have a long talk with the rep, and then he proceeded to give me $20 (instead of the $10 the gift card was for) and said it was for my inconvenience.

Moral of this story, the gift cards are a glitch, but if you work it quickly you might get Paypal to give you a credit of some amount and if they tell you no, as for the manager.

Members are reporting that some managers will NOT offer a credit. Some have resorted to filing BBB complaints.

I would not file with the BBB, file with the State Attorneys General Office in Paypals state online. Easy to do in 5 minutes.
