Thread Details

BMW North America has quietly launched an extended test drive program for its i3 and i3 Range Extender. With a small amount of paperwork, a copy of your drivers license, current automobile insurance card, you can be on your way to a three day electrifying driving experience. Unfortunately not all dealers are participating, only about a one third actually, so check with your dealership.

Time for a weekend getaway or road trip? It's essentially an amazing car rental.

The only problem is that hideous would be a compliment for an i3.

Looks like the range is about 80 miles. It takes 20 hours to charge on 120V.

Car styling is always a matter of personal preference. Seems to be designed to suit European tastes.

I drove it at CES earlier this year.
Hate the bicycle tires but it was so fun to drive.
0-60 in ~7 secs... not bad at all.
