This is a new 4k IPS 27" monitor from Dell. Use the following codes:

$FHX1NQQR7ZG17 and CTCBFMG8$BF92F

You can also get at least 5% back from discover with their online promotion this month. Dell small business is also listed as 10% back but using the coupon codes might negate this. I tried anyway!

Isn't this monitor their TN panel @ 30Hz POS?

Edit: Take it back...this one is just released. Amazing price for a IPS panel.

Not sure but with the 3 year advance exchange warranty, perfect pixel guarantee, paid shipping returns, there is not much to lose if you are in the market for this type of monitor. I also chatted with a Dell rep who confirmed no PWM on this model.

27" seems too small for 4K. I doubt you can easily read anything without zooming which defeats the purpose of having this kind of clarity and real estate. I suppose development applications would be okay if the interface is mainly buttons.

Someone care to post the link without the stupid redirect to the pay-per-click site intermediary?

Here you go!

It's not the OP that does it, it's that slickdeals automatically converts URLs to sites that they get a commission from.

Not exactly. I'm sure that what you pasted into the thread was the direct link, but here's what it gets changed to:

The scale of the rendered image will make text too small to read for this display without software and an OS that is DPI aware.

No HDMI 2.0 for a newly released 4k monitor is a fail IMHO...
Already GTX 970/980 have been released with 4k ports and we can expect a full spectrum of AMD/Nvidia GPUs released in the next 4-6 months that would have HDMI 2.0 ports whereas anyone buying this monitor would probably be planning to keep it for 3-5 years at least.

Very curious about this. I'd like to see the monitor in person to see how well Windows adjusts. Does Best Buy have any 4K monitors on display?
