I talked to Samsung rep earlier this week, and he said special Black Friday prices on this plasma would be released after the "instant savings" on this tv expired. Low and behold, this TV drops $200. The 64" is in stock, while stock is disappearing in other stores (Amazon, Kmart, Sears).

Add the TV to cart, price should drop to $999 and $1499. There are no savings available on the 64 inch yet, but stay tuned. Price match as much as possible! Happy savings everyone!

The 64" is the best TV, IMO. Hoping to see a deal on that.

how does this thing compare in over all picture quality vs the 4k displays being sold for about the same price?

will probably hook up an htpc/apple mini to this thing and play ps4/xbox one

i sit about 8-10 ft furthest and 4ft closest

This is the highest rated TV for 2 years in a row, beating every 4k LED/LCD out there. The only thing that compares to it is OLED, and those cost quite a bit more

DON'T USE EAST COAST TV'S. They're a bunch of New York con artists. Each item they sell has to reach a certain threshold for them to make a profit. So they advertise one price, then add bogus charges till they meet that threshold. Stupid stuff like "shipping insurance" even though shipping is the total responsibility of the shipper (but advertise free shipping), or warranties that won't be honored. Its awful

WTF!!!! I literally just placed my order for the 64" at Sears to be delivered Wed. It was hard enough to swallow a $800 difference in price but now at $1000 more I would happily take the 60" instead.
