I probably read most of these books when I was a kid! (Or at least the ones the public library had.)

Thanks for posting!

I absolutely LOVED these books as a kid! Just bought a set - will have to figure out what to do with it, ha.

Thanks, OP!

My oldest child is starting to get into reading. Still a bit too young for these books, but just yesterday I said to my wife that I should pick up some choose your own adventure books - I actually hated reading as a kid until I got one of these for a bday present. Been hooked on reading every since. Thanks and repped Op!

I wonder if kids today will enjoy the CYOA books as much as we did (before Xbox and Wii, etc. were available)?

Freaking awesome. Thanks! FYI - this is the re-released version so the titles have a different # than the original CYOA. The books are the same, though. Smilie

Teehee, Nabooti...

Was also saddened to hear of Mr. Montgomery's passing. Spent a good chunk of childhood reading these. He was so right about interactive fiction.

Also, these were a gateway drug that got me into the Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone gamebooks, as well as the best ever Lone Wolf series by Joe Dever and Gary Chalk.

I also read these kind of books sometime back in the 80s. But I'm not clear now how many books there were in the series. If I wanted to buy all the books, is there a complete set available to buy?

Debating if these are good for a girl?.. They look oriented to boys

Most are gender neutral if I recall. I had 1-80? 90? Sold most at a garage sale so I could get needed parts for my car

I bet sales are up with Montgomery's passing.... prices typically go up also.

There are 185 Choose Your Own Adventure books in the original series.
