Thanks. I still think Skype service is pretty mediocre, but I haven't found anything better yet.

Same with me, and it's been getting worse. I get dropped calls all of the time now. Hoping to find something better soon. Still a good deal for those of you who have good luck with Skype.

Was waiting for this deal, was offered last year as well.

I have great experience with Skype, both video and audio, even with one caller being on a low bandwidth connection. No competition on call quality!

Thanks...I live overseas and use this to call back to the states. Works great for me on an 8mbps line for calling landlines even though my internet is spotty at best.

Are these only for use from within the US? I have a friend overseas who calls us back home all the time; would the "unlimited US and Canada" card give her unlimited calling back to phones here?

You can redeem the code from outside US too.. Last year I bought the code for my friend who was in Europe and needs to call his family living in Asia.. so, it works for every skype account..

I have a monthly subscription from skype for a limited number of monthly calls.. and, yes, the minutes expire by the end of month and the subscription renews (can cancel the subscription anytime, of course)

Skype calls (Pay-as-you-go calls, not subscriptions) are charged based on both origin and destination.
A better solution would be to use NetTalk or MagicJack.

Good deal!

It said that the limit was 1, so I ordered one of each card, one 10, one 25, and one 50.

I use Skype for calling overseas numbers, and it's always good to stock up on credits when these 50% off deals come around.

i mean the credit, once its added, do the minutes expire?

read somewhere that the mins expire after 90 days or 180 days after first use, is that true

Ok, sorry.. once you credit the money to your account it doesn't automatically change in to minutes.. you have to buy some subscription or some minutes with your balance or else the balance remains the same..

I sometimes hear that there is a expiry date on the code redemption in to your account.. but once you have redeemed, it may not expire.. at least, in my case I once had enough balance which I used on my subscriptions for two years of calls..

It'll expire after 180 days of non usage. But it can be reactivated again if it were to expire.

Just make a call and use some credit every 180 days and you won't have to worry about it expiring.
