I find this to be a better deal than the $250 i3 that came last week at BB. Touchscreen and bluetooth extra.

Anything less than FHD is not a gadget to me. It's an antique.

I got this for $279 from Amazon last week via customer service email for a price match against the OfficeDepot sale (AMD version) and scored this one with the i3. It's a good performing laptop, feels a little rough & cheaper around some edges (I kid you not, a nail file may solve that) but worth the compromise to get the touch screen, hardware and performance.

I must be getting old - Windows 8.1 is going to take some time to get used to.

How much to upgrade it another 4gb? Anyone what what type of memory this takes?

Also, how do you become an elite member?

If you don't want to order it online, use this mobile inventory checker to see if it's in stock at your store

I bought it for the $299 price today. Think its a good price for an i3+touchscreen. Sounds heavy, and probably has a cheap battery.

WIll be taking the SSD out of my current laptop with 1st gen i5, but has a specialty battery that costs $120 to replace and blown speakers. Even though the processor is technically slower, I think a 4th gen i3 is about equal in all over performance to a 1st gen i5 by now.

Thats awesome because the low end AMD processors are pretty crappy compared to an i3.

Can you put an ssd in this? And upgrade the ram? Oh well, probably should just get a MacBook air.

:\ cue the haters....
It isnt an ultrabook, so I dont see what a standard hard drive wouldnt fit and it can take upto 8GB of DDR3.
