I got the same one last Black Friday through Amazon and I should have gotten the extended warranty. Mine died in less than 2 months and the shipping cost to send back to the manufacturer is more expensive than the TV itself.

This years door buster tv deals are much better than this one, but they required waiting in line...

If you can deal with a mail in rebate, and paying $21 for shipping, this is a decent deal. But I'm holding out for something without a rebate.

If you find a better deal that doesn't require waiting in line or a mail in rebate let me know.

Looking to buy a TV/Monitor for my mom to connect her Mac mini and for me to play PS3/watch tv. Would this work as a monitor?

If not, what are some requirements I should be looking for?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Yes any hdmi tv will work as a monitor.
The only concern is if there is any image delay which would make it weird moving a mouse and seeing it slightly delayed.

This TV has VGA and HDMI so you should not have any issues connecting a computer.
VGA Input (15 pin, D-Sub): One
HDMI Input: Three

There are reviews on Amazon and Newegg for it.
If thats all you want to spend then I dont see any issues with this TV.

Thanks for the reply, are there any specs that would reduce the delay?

Most TVs wont have a delay now-a-days in certain modes. Some TVs have a "gaming" mode to turn off any special picture processing to stop any delays.
I dont see that this tv has any special processing of the picture.

I searched reviews on amazon and no one complained about delays for that TV.
I see no reason to worry about it.

I have used TV for gaming and computers for years.
For work I use a 47in HDTV for my computer monitor.
At home I have a 55in HDTV connected to a windows media center PC.
