With a Sceptre 49” LED 4k x 2k UHD TV (U500CV-UMK), entertainment is transformed into an epic adventure. The unequalled color and clear brilliance of 4k (3,840 x 2,160 or over 8 million pixels) will provide more natural and lifelike images than have ever been viewed on a 49” screen. 3 HDMI ports allow you to connect up to three devices at once, so you can stream, browse, and listen to all of your favorite multimedia. The HDMI 1 port is equipped with HDMI 2.0, which lets you seamlessly stream 4k video to get the most rewarding viewing experience that is available on the market. Explore your apps on this giant LED screen once you connect your smartphone or tablet to the Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) port (HDMI 2). The innovative USB port further expands functionality, allowing users to listen to music and view digital pictures quickly and conveniently. Entertainment truly continues to evolve at Sceptre

60 Hz @ 1080? It looks like the 4k refresh is only 30 Hz Frown

why would it be "too good to be true?"....ever hoid of SEIKI??? well sounds like a rebranded SEIKI to me....and everyone knows the reviews on those 4k sets...if you don't, well then almost anyone would tell you that a 4k SEIKI, at least the first few, maybe all of them idk, were very cheap; and any inexpensive 1080p 3rd rate brand blew the 4k SEIKI out of the water, probably even most 720p sets....anyway, here's hoping this one is much much better!

"Offering the ultimate High-Definition experience, HDMI 2.0 displays 4k resolution at 60Hz refresh rate. Displaying 4k resolution up to 60 frames a second, the picture quality and streaming speed of 4k content is truly a testament of entertainment perfection. HDMI 2.0 also provides up to 32 audio channels of high fidelity audio."

Sounds like marketing to me though, the description indicates that HDMI 2.0 can display 4k at 60Hz but doesn't indicate anything about the set itself. If you look at the 4k specs it only indicates 4k/24p

This has to be a price mistake, right?

It's HDMI 2. Doesn't matter about the TV itself. If it has that, it can display it. If you feel like they're wrong, buy one and sue them.

Will this have any resale value, or is it only worth $400?

Not really. If it were a Samsung, Sony, LG, then I'd say yes.

It's probably best for a computer monitor. Home viewing? Not so much.
