Isn't rakuten the buy.com site that lost hundreds of people's credit card details then tried to cover it up last year? It was slickdeals that figured it out even! Why are people still buying from the site

FWIW, I've bought many items from them without issue and there are many good postings on SD for them. I already bought one from a prior Adorama deal but just thought I would share the best price I've seen lately on this refurb 64gb that includes Windows 8.1 + Office Home & Student (not the 1 yr subscription)

Is anyone else having problems with the promo code? The first time I try to use it it tells me that it is already applied (but doesn't show anywhere that it took the $30 off), if I try again it tells me the code is expired.

Probably because if you don't buy from companies that have had major data leaks, there aren't a lot of major retailers left to buy from

You may want to even try Masterpass using code MASTERPASS30 for same $30 off

Thanks, tried that too and it tells me straight up that it isn't a valid code. I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.

Did you checkout using the Paypal icon to select. I would think it should take you to a final checkout page where you can enter the promo code

You need to specifically check out using PAYPAL to use the PAYPAL discount.

Note this is a refurb older model, but still appears to include a 1 year warranty. The reason I personally chose this over the newer model is that it includes a real / unlimited version of Office instead of the annual-fee Office 365.

I clicked the PayPal icon, logged into PayPal, and it's still telling me that the code is either invalid or expired. It also says MASTERPASS30 is invalid. Did anyone actually get this to work right?

Now that's complete logic for acting irrationally. Go for it junior.

Thanks for the info on Office.
Sorry for the noob question, but would this be a better tablet for business presentations than Android? I am new to Windows tablet.

I'm not sure what "complete logic" is, but OK, champ.
