The bonus is up from 40k to 50k.
Regular link: http://www.worldgotbigger.com/us-...lNumber=18
There is also a link for "Preferred Member" to get another 10k bonus miles at the 1st anniversary. I applied through this link a month ago
and got 10k bonus right away (but only standard 40k bonus). Please refer to the following FlyerTalk thread for more details:

If you take advantage of an offer on our site, Slickdeals may receive a commission.

Examples of what 50k miles can get you for non peak award flights.

25k = 1 roundtrip ticket within US in econ.
50k = 1 roundtrip ticket within US in first class.
40k = 1 roundtrip to Hawaii in econ.
35k = 1 roundtrip to Germany in econ.

Where does that $11 come from? You mean 10k miles are worth $11?

No.

Usual offer is 40k without AF for first year = $400 cash equivalent
This offer is 50k with AF = $411 (500 - 400 - 89 AF)

I think you need to double check your info (40k bonus with no annual fee first year).

Is there an initial fee though for making the transfer in the first place?

He means that you can cancel the card after getting the bonus, then wait for x amount of time and be eligible for the bonus again.

I think you are the one that is confused.

The standard bonus they offer is 40k miles, which is worth ~ $400

This new offer is 40k miles, plus 10k more times after you pay the first annual fee of $89. Which means this new deal is worth 40k($400)+10k($100)-$89(Annual fee you have to pay to receive the 10k)= $411

HOWEVER, it is worth mentioning that this deal valued at $411 does include the second year for free, while the original deal does not. For most SDers we are in for the miles, not the card, so it doesn't really make that much of a difference to us.

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that both deals do not include the first year for free. Which means the new deal is realistically worth $411, while the old one is realistically only worth $400-$89(Annual Fee)=$311.

In Jan/Feb US has 35K mile rt rewards to Europe on it's own planes. (off-peak)

Flights to Rome are hard to get but London, Paris, Munich, Zurich, Frankfurt, Madrid etc easier.
