Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a bluetooth Adapter? and what it is use for? I lost my wireless mouse's bluetooth thing in the Library, would this replace it?

Not 100% sure (don't know what mouse you have) but it could work. Also would allow you to connect your phone, bluetooth headset, and PS3 controller to your PC (I don't know about the PS4). Also any other device that syncs via Bluetooth (like blood pressure monitors).

Your mouse should be able to connect to the adapter as well as any other bluetooth capable devices like headphones, speakers...

That Motorola SB6141 was on sale for 82 on BF and 87 on CM. Really regret not getting it with all the coupons thrown around. But needed time to see if it's compatible with my local cable company and then they raised the price on me now. :-(

The Motorola SB6141 3.0 is important, don't ever get the 2.0 even if it is on a deal since internet speed nowadays will only get faster, the speed will be limited with 2.0, and also check your network provider to make sure they're compatible with the SB6141...

The dongle for your mouse may not have been Bluetooth. Most mice with dongles use FM radio rather than Bluetooth. Google the model plus the word "specs" (i.e., logitech M510 specs") and the specs will tell you whether it's Bluetooth, FM, unifying, etc. Then you'll be able to figure out what to do about a replacement.

The Bluetooth adapter is universally regarded as a piece of crap. Don't waste your cash.
