Great Fun and their cash back rebates - when can I cancel my membership?
Many of you have received a cash back offer from Great Fun after placing an order. In my case, it was after calling Tiger Direct customer service about an order I had placed earlier the same day. I was offered two $50 rebates.
I signed up that same day I placed the order, Nov 24, but when I received my email signup info, I was listed as a "member since 11/25/14". I hope that isn't a problem.
I mailed out my first $50 rebate with a printed invoice of the first order on Nov 28.
Since I had a second rebate, I placed another order yesterday. One of the items in the order is backordered so I'm unable to get an invoice since not everything has been shipped, but I confirmed on the phone with Great Fun that an "order confirmation" was valid as long as it showed the order prices. I plan to mail that rebate today, Dec 12.
My "anticipated next billing date" is in 3.5 weeks on Jan 6. I suppose I could pay for an additional month at $16.99 if it ensures I get $100 in rebates, but do I need to? Should I just cancel on Jan 5? Since it's the holidays, I assume they're getting a lot of rebates to process, so might I not receive my rebates before the second month expires? Just looking for some guidance since this is the first time I've tried something like this.
