"Free of charge" delivery changes do NOT apply to UPS SurePost packages. You must upgrade ($3.50 charge) from SurePost to Ground to qualify for delivery changes without charge (in the context of your premium account).
Edited because we don't need you yelling at us.

It's a service that should be free all year. I have no idea why UPS really thinks it's worth $40 per year.

I have free premium until 1/15/2015. I don't know if I renew with this code, will it extend or it will be modified to end sooner?

Probably because it's something that the normal home casual user wouldn't pay $40/year for, but for anyone that has a business with a decent traffic on incoming packages, it's fantastic and well worth it.

How did you add the code to an existing account?

it is pretty painful that FedEx let's you redirect to a FedEx/Kinko's for free but UPS charges you $5 to do the same to one of their (independent) stores.

Got in on this the last time they offered it. I don't see what the big deal is. They still charge you $3.50 if you want to make any changes to your delivery or if you want to upgrade the delivery type. Not worth it for "convenience" - I'll just call up a friend who lives nearby to hold the package for me till I get back if I'm gonna be out of town or whatever.
