Nice find, but what is a Newegg rebate "card?" Is this cash from the manufacturer (Asus) or a gift card to be spent only on Newegg?

Rebate should be an American Express Gift Card.

Pros: great screen quality compared to LCD, Vivid colors and graphics no complaints on the performance of the monitor

Cons: Buttons are behind the monitor, HDMI needs to be 1.4 or something or it will not come back from sleep which older monitors have no problem with so wtf?

Bought 2 I was able to use the new version hdmi cable and a hdmi to DVA that came with it to have both monitors sleep and wake but it sucks that it is an issue

All in all great monitors though less eye strain compared to my old LCD which was dwarfed immediately by the brightness/clarity that these asus IPS had...

if your in the market go for it! I also got my first monitors rebate back already

warning: this monitor does NOT wake up from sleep. i bought this monitor on black friday and ended up returning it. whats the point of sleep mode if it wont wake up? you have to hit power or input button for it to wake up.

edit: This happens when your rig (Desktop) has more than one display. I use two and this monitor never woke from sleep. Many reviewers with 2+ monitors seems to state the same. I suppose using this as the sole monitor (or as a laptop secondary ; see post #12) shouldnt be a problem.

Are you using this monitor with a Desktop? I don't have this problem, since the monitor is connected to the laptop most of the time. Monitor wakes up from sleep just fine when laptop is turned back on from sleep.

yes desktop. I do think though that it may just be for those with more than one monitor on a desktop. i re-read some reviews and it appears to be only for those with more than one monitor in the setup.

It's too bad the traditional DVI port is not included; ASUS probably thought this monitor was suitable for those that wanted the latest and greatest, Confused
