4:4:4 (full RGB color) support? [avsforum.com]

Quote from avsforum :
Do you need a TV that is 4:4:4 Chroma Capable?

Do you only use your TV for watching TV/movies and playing console video games? Then NO, you do not need a 4:4:4 capable TV.

Do you use your TV as a PC monitor or play PC video games? Then YES, it is strongly recommended you use a 4:4:4 capable TV.

The two biggest factors that makes a TV a good PC monitor are 1) low input lag, and 2) 4:4:4 chroma support. Unfortunately, neither capabilities are published in TV specifications.

Looks like a good deal to me. I've never owned an Insignia before, but I would imagine same or better than TCL or Hong Chong (can't remember exactly the name) tvs. lol @ one of the reviews:

"This TV picture is so good I feel, like a voyer peeking in someone's window."

My local best buy has Sharp 50" TVs in stock for $399 OTD. This is the same as an online only deal a couple weeks ago. Leaning toward that one.

The picture became distorted on my 55" Insignia after only a couple years. Stay away from this POS brand.

One person's experience is pretty insignificant when it comes to making a decision like purchasing a retail product

The "Sharp" 50" is actually a rebranded Insignia, specifically, the same model as this one. Best buy China contracted the Sharp name for a line of tvs. On the back of that "Sharp", it has the Best Buy China imprint. ALL Sharp made tvs have the Aquos name on the front of the panel. if they don't, it's a rebrand.

i've had the 48' for almost a yr and works great and had no issues. I bought this 50' for my mother-in-law 9 days ago for 499 and I just got back from BB and did a price rewind, easy as pie.
