yep, rep thanks for reminding me...there is 25% at bottom of same email, not valid for smartphone, iphone or ipad. Max $25 discount. I've seen other SD thread for the rare 30% to 40%.

I don't think this is anything new. I've been doing this for years, and not just after Christmas. Good reminder though! Thanks!

Go buy a warranty today on something they cover that you purchased in the last 30 days. I'm not sure why this would only apply to existing customers though. Usually Square Trade does a bunch of promos around the holidays to lure in new customers. I've been using Square Trade for years and cannot recommend them enough. I'm normally not one to purchase extended warranties, but their service has been superb and saved me a few times, and at a relatively low cost.

thinking of getting this

its either $5 a month or $99 for 2 years.. if i want to quit after 1 year will i get a pro-rated refund back?

do they cover dents and scratches too?

the 30% off coupons are for 30% off $99? or is it 30% off the $99 plus the replacement $75??

Wait, I'm not understanding this. Does this mean that if I know the receiver that I was gifted today was bought more than 30 days ago, they'll still warranty it? As a recipient do I need any proof whatsoever or are we going to have to still prove the buy date if I ever have an issue?

ConfusedWow nobody can explain a claim process by doing this? Sounds like I would be jumping through hoops to be able to use this in the future. Possibly denied more than likely...since no receipt will be scanned & uploaded.

They do not cover dent and scratches in a sense that if you want to get your device replaced solely because of it, they won't fix it.
They pro-rate all their insurance if you cancel the plan before it ends.
The $75 deductible applies for any claim (sucks, it used to only be for accidental).

The 25% off coupon does not applies to smartphones, iphone, or ipad coverage.

hmmm, this sounds interesting, but squaretrade does not mention anything like this on their site, can we confirm that this will actually work?

Just did this for an iphone 5 my son got for Christmas. I called them and they even cut the price to $89 for 2 years coverage. I have used them for many items and they are very legit company. Only problem is that $75 fee makes only for major items. Still a good deal.
