Bet to lose at least 10% of your current weight (minimum 5lbs) in a certain amount of time (minimum of 6 months) and make some money at HealthyWage [healthywage.com]

They have a prize calculator based on your gender, height, current weight and a couple of other metrics. Regardless of how much weight you're trying to lose, if you bet the minimum ($20/month for 6 months = $120), your prize range is between $133 - $352 ($13-$232 profit depending on your metrics).

Get an extra $20 if you email slickdeals@healthywage.com by January 15th after you place your bet.

Did this last year and won approximately $1400 on my $400. Process was easy and fast. I would do it again but you can only do it one :-(

Between HW and DietBet, I made a good chunk of cash last year losing weight I needed to anyways.

I did this a few years ago and lost my bet. Not because I failed to lose the weight, but because I forgot to check in. If you are going to do this, make sure you set some reminders so you aren't a big loser like I was.

Did this a couple years ago (when it was a 10% bet to double your $150). Won the first round, re-anted and lost the second. The weekly check-ins (and verified weights) are a real PITA. But about half of the weight has crept back on so I am tempted to try this again! (and dietbet...)

Getting a Verified Weigh-in is Easy
You can:

Make a 30-second video from the privacy of your home (instructions HERE)

Or;
Visit any fitness professional (e.g., health club worker, slimming club leader) or medical professional (e.g., your doctor). Find more information HERE.

Thanks, I should do this

I actually just got verified from this site yesterday. Doing a 9 month challenge to lose 70 pounds and betting $68/month. If I win I'll get $1732. Maybe I can tack on another 20 bucks with the slickdeals email.

Thanx

I gained over the winter to bulk up a bit... now I have marathons this spring... that almost makes this a joke.

Can't you drink a bunch of water before weigh-in? Give yourself a little "boost" before weigh in?

Is this a scam? I mean common, I can lose 10 lbs in two months easily. I run 10-20 miles evey week.

Same here, Im training for the Worlds Best 10K in Puerto Rico (one of the Top ten races to do before you die) I gained a couple of pounds this holiday, but as a runner knows, 10 pounds can be lost in two months easily.

not a scam, just as legit as those pay to watch tv promos but better for you. I've seen it on the news and money is a big motivator for sure. I think I may look into this this spring when I'm more active.

Nice. It helps to always be and stay true to your goals and the rest will come by itself.

I lost 5lbs in the past 48 hours eating every two hours. P90X/Insanity/Beast hybrid. I still have about 15lbs to go. Half of that weight was from carbing up on Pizza and cheese bread the night of my initial weigh in.

I am considering this, I wish I had seen this last week.
