Been watching this as it as the price was dropping and just picked one of this up on this deal. This was FP for the same price at Newegg, without the $50 gift card.

Add these 2 items to your cart and the $50 will be deducted at checkout.

-Optoma HD141X Projector [amazon.com]
-$50 Amazon gift card [amazon.com]

I had to pay tax on just the projector in MN.

Deal details [amazon.com].

Note: at checkout the price of the projector will drop to $489.99, and you pay $50 for the gift card(which is physically mailed to you).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Can anyone advise if this is a good upgrade to my Epson EX 5210?

Generic Epson Specs:
2800 Lumens Color Brightness
2800 Lumens White Brightness
XGA Resolution (1024 x 768)
USB Plug 'n Play Instant Setup; HDMI Connectivity
Compact and portable design 5.1 lbs

I was just about to post this. You beat me to it.

Its bad that I have to pay taxes on it, but still ended up buying one as I have been watching this for past few months.

I contacted Amazon yesterday about price matching with NewEgg flash deal but they turned me down. The rep took my feedback about the lower price. Looks like many people did this and finally Amazon responded with a price cut.

Any ceiling mounts that people recommend for this?

I would say going from XGA to full HD is a huge upgrade. Do it!!! laugh out loud

I love mine! I got this last time for 513 new + a 50$ amazon gift card + Another 50$ gift card for being one of the first 300 to do a review. This is still a good price for what you get!

Thanks!! Is there any reason why my current epson is only about $200 less (even new)? Would it be the brand name or build quality perhaps?

There's a market for non-HD projectors in the business world I believe.

It's definitely an upgrade. If you care about image quality, I'd say pay the extra for the benq 1070.. Just my opinion though. Either way.. I highly recommend you upgrade to 1080p.

Considering the excellent reviews for both HD141X and the W1070, I would go for the HD141X since it's now about $200 cheaper.

Ceiling mounts can be a bit of a pain. I had an optoma 180 and bought a universal mount that didn't work very well. I now have an hd26 that still doesn't fit well but it works. Make sure you get one that has the triangle mount like the optomas do. The universal one I bought had a square type mount with 4 spots.
