So this doesn't use Steam for DRM? That's not going to effect my ability to play with friends who buy it through Steam, though, right?

Looks like it's not Steam. Now why would Rockstar do this? Pirates will not have to go through all this BS DRM thing.

If this were for a Steam redemption I would be all over it but with a couple more months until release, I'm going to hold off. It is aggravating enough to remember where all of my games are already without throwing another place into the mix.

What? GTA 4 was a fantastic game. GTA 5 on PC can't come soon enough.

Great deal for people wanting it day one... Not sure how the PC delay announcement will factor in - or if there will be further delays.. Curious if the official release will be non-Steam - that could be a deal breaker for a lot of interested people due to there being the possibility that they'd not be able to play with their Steam friends...

I for one have vowed to be done with pre-orders in 2015... The industry has seemingly taken our willingness to shell out $$$ for a game we believe will be awesome as gullibility - delivering part of a buggy game, using us as testers to iron out the bugs and then charge us a significant amount of additional $$$ just to get the rest of the game via DLC... Not saying that all pre-orders work this way, but a lot have in the last couple of years... Also, I am not a flat-out-DLC-hater - sometimes content delivery via a pay DLC makes sense, but it's become increasingly known that DLC is also being leveraged by companies as a way to squeeze extra money from the fans and I for one am done supporting it...

TU on the deal for people interested though!

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I'm sure it is just a (poorly thought out) mock up.
